How to order from Don Pie, step by step

This is the one page on donpieshop.com that sends you to Don Pie’s own sites. Everything you need to place an order is here: which link to use, what the steps are, and the rules that catch people out.

Who are you ordering from?

You are ordering from Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab, the kitchen at 39 Tyrwhitt Road in Jalan Besar where the pies are baked today under the DonChef name. Chef Don Lim, who founded Don Pie, co-founded the kitchen, and DonChef’s Original Chicken Pie follows the recipe he created in 1983. The business says it has no franchise outlets and no partnerships to supply its pies elsewhere. Its five shops are the Tyrwhitt Road flagship and kiosks at AMK Hub, Wisma Atria, White Sands and Tiong Bahru Plaza.

donpieshop.com does not take orders or payments: the bakery does.

Step 1: Decide on pickup or delivery

Choose pickup if you want to control the timing, avoid a delivery fee, or collect on your way somewhere. Choose delivery for large orders, especially above the free-delivery threshold. For one or two pies right now, GrabFood and foodpanda list the Tyrwhitt Road, AMK Hub and Wisma Atria outlets, according to the brand’s menu page.

Step 2: Open the ordering site and choose your outlet first

Go to buy.chickenpie.sg to start a Don Pie order. Before the menu shows prices, the site asks you to choose delivery or a pickup outlet. This matters because:

• prices and stock load per outlet;
• you collect from the outlet you chose; and
• crab dishes appear only for Tyrwhitt Road and AMK Hub.

Step 3: Choose your pies

The printed menu (February 2026) lists these pies, as of October 2026. Check the official site for the live online price, which can differ.

The ordering site also lists mixed “Party Favourite” boxes in personal and whole sizes, a Creamy Chicken Pie, limited “Build Your Pie” slots, and seasonal items. Some items need extra notice: an XXL egg tart, for example, is listed with a 10-piece minimum and 3 days’ lead time.

Step 4: Pick a date and time

Don Pie takes advance orders. One product page asks for orders at least 90 minutes ahead; an earlier delivery announcement (2022) asked for 24 hours. For delivery to an event, we suggest ordering at least a day ahead and booking a slot that ends 90 minutes to 2 hours before you serve. The pie order planner builds the timeline for you.

Delivery is by third-party drivers such as Grab, Lalamove and GoGoX, on a best-effort basis. The ordering FAQ says an exact delivery time cannot be guaranteed.

Step 5: Pay

Online orders are paid by credit card. For pickup orders, the ordering FAQ says PayNow or bank transfer can be arranged by WhatsApp. The delivery fee depends on distance, with surcharges at festive peaks and for Sentosa, the CBD, malls and Changi Airport. The Chicken Pie Kitchen home page offers free islandwide delivery above $200, as of October 2026.

Step 6: Check the confirmation carefully

Orders cannot be amended or cancelled after they are placed, according to the ordering FAQ. Before you close the page, check the outlet or address, the date and time, and every line of the order.

Step 7: Collect or receive, then check

When the pies arrive, open the boxes and check them. The bakery’s refund policy asks customers to get in touch within 2 hours of receiving an order, with photos, and offers refunds or exchanges for preparation or quality faults.

For best results, the ordering FAQ suggests eating the pies within 4 hours of purchase, chilling leftovers for up to 3 days (Shepherd’s Pie no more than 3 days), and reheating in an air fryer at 150C for 5 minutes, then 200C for 5 minutes. Allergens and dietary notes

The ordering FAQ says the products contain nuts, eggs, dairy and gluten. The kitchen uses no pork and no lard but is not Halal-certified; its halal statement explains that the flagship serves alcohol and welcomes pets. The pastries contain no alcohol by default.
